What do I get with Cut to Size?
Your pieces cut to the finished size you enter, with the edges dressed, deep cleaned and sealed, ready to fit. The price you see on the page includes the slab they're cut from and one cutting charge for the order.
Should I choose slate or limestone?
Slate is the bigger range: riven, honed or brushed, 20mm or 30mm, pieces up to 1500 × 900mm or 1200 × 1200mm, and up to three matching pieces from one slab. Limestone comes in black or grey, 20mm, as a front hearth up to 1200 × 380mm, a chamber up to 900 × 600mm, or both for a T-shape.
What is the largest size you can cut?
Slate: up to 1500 × 900mm, or 1200 × 1200mm on honed and brushed. Limestone: front hearth up to 1200 × 380mm, chamber up to 900 × 600mm. The smallest side we cut is 50mm.
How long does it take?
Standard: ready in 14 working days. Priority: ready in 7. Then collect free from Milton Keynes, or delivery on a pallet in 2–4 working days (express 1–2) across England and Wales.
Can I have a hand-cut edge limestone hearth?
Yes, on black limestone, as a front hearth. Hand-cut edges aren't cut, so the front is our stock 1200 × 380 hand-cut slab, sent whole. Pair it with a chamber cut to your size: choose "Hand-cut front + chamber" on Limestone Cut to Size. Both are cleaned and sealed, with one cutting charge.
Can I return a cut piece?
No. It's made to your sizes, so please check your measurements, or order a sample first.
