Overview
Black and grey limestone cut to your size by Bluesky Stone Direct in our Milton Keynes workshop, 20mm (±4mm). The front hearth and chamber are each cut from their own slab, then edges dressed, cleaned and sealed. One cutting charge covers both.
Rectangles and squares, cut properly. If your opening needs a circle, a teardrop or a curve, we're not your supplier, and we'll say so rather than waste your time.

One word - FANTASTIC !! A very simple but well crafted website made ordering a straightforward process. Communication from Bhey at Bluesky Stone was excellent and customer care was superb. I collected my order and Brian at the workshop was just wonderful. I was late but nothing was too much trouble. He carefully loaded my stone in through the boot of my car helping me make it secure and even went the extra mile by giving me a bottle of cold refreshing water for my long journey home. Fantastic

Questions before you order
How does Cut to Size work?
Choose black or grey, then whether you need a front hearth, a chamber or both, and enter the finished sizes in millimetres. The page shows how each piece comes off its slab and the full price. We cut, dress the edges, clean and seal in our Milton Keynes workshop, then deliver on a pallet or you collect free.
How long does it take?
Standard (£125): delivered within 14 days. Priority (£175): delivered within 7 days. Day 1 is the day after you order; if the last day isn't a working day, it's the next working day. England and Wales. Please book your fitter once your hearth has arrived.
Why does a smaller piece cost the same as a larger one?
You pay for the slab each part is cut from. Once it goes on the saw it's committed to your order.
Can I return a cut piece?
No — it's made to your sizes, so please check your measurements, or order a sample first.
What size should I give you?
The finished size you want to see, in millimetres. Measure the opening, not the stove, and check your stove maker's minimum hearth size.
What is the largest size you can cut?
Front hearth up to 1200 × 380mm, chamber up to 900 × 600mm. Each is cut from one of our stock limestone slabs. For anything bigger, see slate Cut to Size.
Do I pay twice for a front and a chamber?
No. You pay for each slab, plus one cutting charge for the order: £125 Standard or £175 Priority.
Can I have hand-cut edges?
On black, yes for the front: choose "Front Hearth + Chamber (T-Shape) - Hand-Cut Profile". The front is our stock 1200 × 380 hand-cut slab, sent whole and not cut; the chamber is cut to your size from a sawn slab. Both are cleaned and sealed, with one cutting charge. Grey comes with sawn edges only.
Do I get a photo?
Yes. We photograph the slabs your pieces come from before they go on the saw and email them to you.
Can I collect?
Yes, free from Milton Keynes, within the same 14 or 7 days. We email you the moment your pieces are ready.
