We cut rectangles and squares. If your opening needs a circle, a teardrop or a curve, we're not your supplier — and we'll say so rather than waste your time.

You pay for the slab each part is cut from. Once it goes on the saw it's committed to your order.
Can I return a cut piece?
No — it's made to your sizes, so please check your measurements, or order a sample first.
What size should I give you?
The finished size you want to see, in millimetres. Measure the opening, not the stove, and check your stove maker's minimum hearth size.
What is the largest size you can cut?
Front hearth up to 1200 × 380mm, chamber up to 900 × 600mm. Each is cut from one of our stock limestone slabs. For anything bigger, see slate Cut to Size.
Do I pay twice for a front and a chamber?
No. You pay for each slab, plus one cutting charge for the order: £125 Standard or £175 Priority.
Can I have hand-cut edges?
No. We cut from machine-sawn slabs, so every edge is sawn. Hand-cut edges come only on black limestone stock sizes.
Can I collect?
Yes, free from Milton Keynes. We email you the day your pieces are ready.
