Choose a finish in Step 1 and add it to your cart. To compare two finishes side by side, add your first sample, then pick a second finish and add that too — both ship together under the same £5 flat delivery charge.

Samples are dispatched from our Milton Keynes site for a flat £5, whether you order one finish or two. Delivery is to UK addresses only. As 100×100×20mm cut-offs rather than fabricated slabs, samples aren't covered by the crack guarantee or photo service that apply to full slab orders.

Riven surfaces keep the stone's natural cleft texture; honed surfaces are ground flat and smooth; brushed sits between the two, with the texture softened but not polished away. Photos and screens don't reproduce true colour, so if you're deciding between our Brazilian Black slate finishes, or between Black and Grey limestone, ordering a physical sample is the most reliable way to check before committing to a full slab or crate.
