Brazilian black slate cut to your size by Bluesky Stone Direct in our Milton Keynes workshop: riven, honed or brushed, 20mm or 30mm. Up to three pieces from one slab, so a chamber and front hearth match. Edges dressed, cleaned and sealed.
Rectangles and squares, cut properly. If your opening needs a circle, a teardrop or a curve, we're not your supplier, and we'll say so rather than waste your time.

One word - FANTASTIC !! A very simple but well crafted website made ordering a straightforward process. Communication from Bhey at Bluesky Stone was excellent and customer care was superb. I collected my order and Brian at the workshop was just wonderful. I was late but nothing was too much trouble. He carefully loaded my stone in through the boot of my car helping me make it secure and even went the extra mile by giving me a bottle of cold refreshing water for my long journey home. Fantastic

Questions before you order
How does Cut to Size work?
Choose the finish, thickness and grade, then enter the finished sizes you want in millimetres. The page shows how your pieces come off one slab and the full price. We cut them, dress the edges, clean and seal them in our Milton Keynes workshop, then deliver on a pallet or you collect free.
How long does it take?
Standard (£125): delivered within 14 days. Priority (£175): delivered within 7 days. Day 1 is the day after you order; if the last day isn't a working day, it's the next working day. England and Wales. Please book your fitter once your hearth has arrived.
Why does a smaller piece cost the same as a larger one?
You pay for the slab your pieces are cut from. Once it goes on the saw it's committed to your order.
Can I return a cut piece?
No — it's made to your sizes, so please check your measurements, or order a sample first.
What size should I give you?
The finished size you want to see, in millimetres. Measure the opening, not the stove, and check your stove maker's minimum hearth size.
Do I get a photo?
Yes. We photograph the slab your pieces come from before it goes on the saw and email it to you.
Can I collect?
Yes, free from Milton Keynes, within the same 14 or 7 days. We email you the moment your pieces are ready.
