What is "honed"?
The surface of the slate is honed, resulting in a smoother, polished, and cleaner appearance with a glassy feel when you run your hand through the surface. All edges have been meticulously chamfered and polished. 

Colouration and tone
Varies from light to darker shades of black and grey. These natural markings and veining are characteristic of this premium slate and only serve to highlight the "natural" qualities that set this material apart from others.
