Direct-from-quarry black limestone hearth slabs, stocked in three sizes with a choice of machine-sawn or hand-cut edges. Calibrated to a 20–24 mm nominal thickness with a tactile, fine-textured face. Part of our Black Limestone range and our Limestone Hearths range.

• 1200 × 380 × 20mm — front hearth section, approx. 26 kg per slab. Sawn or hand-cut edge.
• 900 × 600 × 20mm — chamber section or standalone hearth, approx. 30 kg per slab. Sawn or hand-cut edge.
• 900 × 450 × 20mm — chamber section, approx. 23 kg per slab. Sawn edge only.

• Machine-Sawn Edges (4 sides): Precision-cut for crisp, clean lines, seamless jointing and a sharp, architectural frame around your stove or insert fire.
• Hand-Cut Edges (3 sides): Traditional hand-cut edges on both short sides and one long side. The remaining long side is machine-sawn to ensure a tight joint against a chamber section, brickwork or wall.

Engineered with a calibrated 20–24 mm nominal thickness, a distinctive fine-textured surface, and your choice of edge profile, this high-grade black limestone delivers exceptional structural density and thermal performance. Exhibiting an attractive, warm charcoal-grey tone in its raw state, this low-porosity limestone darkens into a deep, velvety jet-black when treated with an impregnating sealer or colour intensifier. Purpose-designed for luxury fireplace hearths, stove pads, window sills, coping, and interior architectural steps where you need clean geometry and reliable durability. Need a size we don't stock? Limestone Cut to Size cuts a front hearth, a chamber, or both for a T-shape, each from its own slab. Every piece is cut, edge-dressed, cleaned and sealed. From £155 including the slab. Standard 14 days or Priority 7 days.
