Our standard cutting service is optimised for straight-line geometry — squares and rectangles — to guarantee the fastest turnaround. For bespoke shapes or complex templates, we partner with a specialist fabricator.

What machinery do you use?

A 1500mm bridge saw for large-format slabs, supplemented by a track-guided Rubi TC180 wet cutting system for smaller, more precise components.

What's the difference between eased edges and chamfered edges?

We hand-finish top edges with diamond pads for a smooth, eased profile — we don't offer machine chamfering. Hand-worked eased edges give a cleaner, higher-quality finish on site.

Q: Are all sides of the stone sealed?

We seal all visible top faces and outward-facing edges with Stovax Slate Dressing Oil. The underside is deliberately left unsealed, to ensure proper adhesion with bedding compound during installation.

Honed, eased, cleaned, sealed

Four finishing steps, all done by hand

Honed sides — visible faces are hand-honed with a series of diamond pads, removing saw marks for a smooth, matte finish that reveals the stone's natural grain.

Eased edges — top edges are hand-finished with diamond pads for a softened profile. We deliberately don't offer machine chamfering; hand-worked eased edges are our standard.

Deep grain cleaning — K30 Pro Stone Cleaner is applied, agitated, and left to dwell before a fresh-water rinse removes all dust and debris.

Pre-sealed — visible surfaces and exposed edges are treated with Stovax Slate Dressing Oil. The underside is deliberately left unsealed, to ensure proper adhesion with your bedding compound on-site.
